Plot: Beautiful, wild, funny and lost, Katie Kampenfelt takes a year off before college to find herself, all the while chronicling her adventures in an anonymous blog into which she pours her innermost secrets. Eventually, Katie's fearless narrative begins to crack, and dark pieces of her past emerge.
Cast: Britt Robertson, Christian Slater, Justin Long, Martin Sheen
Review: The story revolves around Katie Kampenfelt, a beautiful young troubled teen played by Britt Robertson. Wow Britt Robertson, wow. I can't believe you have the chops for me to like you. Very effective and surprisingly engaging acting. Clap clap! The writing is superb. Some of the things Katie says are so accurate. You'll find yourself agreeing in some lines. And did I say the soundtrack is fantastic! I love the music. It fits the story perfectly. There are just parts of this movie where it hit me. This movie gets me. I'm pretty sure if you watch it, you'll see a little of yourself in Katie. I haven't read the book but this movie really surprised me. It's disturbing yet refreshing. This movie tells you how your past can affect how you are now and what life has to offer. People make mistakes. We often decide on something and regret it later. It's all part of life. You just have to learn from your mistakes and get your life going. Live. Really live.
I don't need to write a long review for this. I strongly recommend seeing this movie.
