Plot: A dark comedy about a likable guy pursuing his office crush with the help of his evil talking pets - but things turn sinister when she stands him up for a date.
Cast: Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick
Review: Imagine a comedy combined with some ultimate gore moments. It's darkly hilarious. The plot seems a bit childish, hearing voices from evil pets, but I liked it. The source of the humor is mainly focused on the voices inside Jerry's head. The movie itself was very serious and sad though. The story is original. The pace is good. It's well written, makes the film unpredictable at times. I just don't like the end credits.
Ryan Reynolds did a great job as Jerry, a mentally unstable man, who is very likable and with good heart but experienced a traumatic childhood that he couldn't prevail. He nailed it. I think this is his best performance to date. He's also the voice behind the pets. The supporting cast was very good also especially Anna Kendrick. She's always good.
Check this one out. It's pretty good.
