Plot: A newly divorced woman falls for a younger man who has recently moved in across the street from her, but their torrid affair soon takes a dangerous turn.
Cast: Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Guzman
Review: Right after I watched the trailer, I immediately thought this movie would flop. This is the kind of film that you don't show in cinemas. This should be straight to DVD. And also this is the kind of film that not-so-famous actresses take, not someone like Jennifer Lopez. I wonder why she said yes to this. Oh wait! She's one of the producers of the film! That's why.. *spoiler* JLO's character wears some equally revealing outfits in this film. The guy fans of JLO are in for a treat. Ryan Guzman who's just an OKAY actor but a good looking one fits the part of the obsessed next door neighbor/stalker.
The Boy Next Door is somewhat like the 1996 movie FEAR which I love by the way and way way better than this average thriller. The Boy Next Door lacks innovation and depth. Very predictable. Couple of jump scares here and there. You know a film is not hands down amazing when you find yourself doing something else while watching the film. I don't always use my phone when watching a movie but then I did use it on this one. Yikes. Sorry JLO and Ryan.
